Do you have any missing teeth? Dental implants are one of the best procedures used today to perfect a smile with any missing teeth. A dental implant is an artificial tooth replacement that is made from titanium. Our implants are so well designed that they mimic the look and feel of natural teeth. The process is completed as a surgical procedure. This can be done for a single tooth, or a full denture. For each patient, every situation is different. But the best treatment for a missing tooth is to put a dental implant in its place. The dental implant process takes a couple of months to complete. This allows time for the jawbone to form around the titanium implant. Once the implant heals and is firmly in place, a crown is then applied to the top of it, completing the process. This creates a permanent implant that looks amazing, and blends seamlessly with the rest of your natural teeth. Learn more about dental implants here.
One of the procedures that strikes fear into many patients is a root canal. However, a root canal is a very effective way to SAVE a compromised tooth! When you choose Riverton Dental to take care of your root canal, we will ensure a simple process that causes very little to no discomfort at all. Root canals are often required when infected nerves are present in the root of a tooth, causing a need for it to be removed. If left untreated, the infection can spread, leading to other very serious problems. This is why it is so important to complete the procedure as quickly as possible. Having a root canal performed might make some patients uneasy, but the pain-free results offered at Riverton Dental, and the ability to eat certain foods again, is very well worth it. If you are currently experiencing any pain with your teeth, or are affected by heat or cold sensitivity, or biting down too hard, please call and schedule an appointment to come see us today. WHAT ARE DENTAL CROWNS?
Thanks to major advances in today’s dental technology, metal is no longer required to create crowns. Instead, we now use beautiful porcelain crowns that are functional, as well as aesthetically pleasing. So why are crowns needed? Over time, decay, cracks and discoloration can occur as the teeth and enamel begin to weaken. Sometimes teeth get chipped or broken. Crowns are used to cover the afflicted teeth, and are attached with a bond. This process leaves you with a full, natural smile. Installing a crown is a process that usually takes two visits, but the results are definitely well worth it! You can go from having damaged and discolored teeth, to matching, natural looking, beautiful white teeth. While they certainly look amazing, our crowns are also extremely durable, as well. They usually last about 10-15 years, and provide the same basic function as original teeth do. Find out more about dental crowns in our Riverton Dental office.
At Riverton Dental, we specialize in pediatric dentistry. We understand that it can be very nerve-wracking to teach children how to enjoy visiting the dentist. Fortunately, our friendly and out-going staff is here to help! We enjoy working with kids, and we know how to help them become more comfortable with dental procedures. Dr. Pearson will tell them all about the work he is going to do, and let your children hold and touch the dental tools used to clean their teeth, so they will know that they don’ hurt. As we are performing dental procedures, we always praise children for doing such a great job to keep them encouraged. They will also be able to receive a reward once they are finished! We don’t want any children to be afraid of the dentist, so please feel free to bring your kids to our dental office in Riverton for their exams and cleanings today! For a missing tooth, sometimes the best option is to create a bridge across the missing area by using your existing teeth instead of an implant. A bridge consists of two crowns on each side of the gap, and a new tooth in between that replaces the missing tooth. These dental bridges are created with great care to fit properly, and look natural. The process of being fitted for a bridge will take a couple visits. We will fit you with a temporary bridge while waiting for the lab to carefully craft your permanent one. Once your bridge has been tailored to meet your unique fit, we will fit you with your new teeth, creating a solid bond. You will soon be back to eating whatever you like with no issues! Contact Riverton Dental to learn more about a dental bridge.
Everyone wants to have beautiful, white teeth. Most people find that a brilliant smile gives them added confidence in a business or social setting. There is a definite advantage to be gained when someone feels confident enough to smile without hesitation! The goal of teeth whitening is to transform dull or stained teeth into a beautiful, brighter and whiter shade. The treatment is safe and painless, and the results are amazing! We complete the process by utilizing a tray whitening system in a simple two-step procedure. We first craft an impression of your teeth, then create a personalized whitening tray that you can continue to wear over and over. Whitening gel is added to the trays, and can be worn for a short period of time over a couple of days, brightening your smile up to 4 -8 shades whiter! Teeth whitening at Riverton Dental will restore your natural color, and can even surpass original whiteness.
Dentures are removable replacement teeth. There are two types of full dentures: conventional, and immediate. With conventional full dentures, the gum tissues are given time to fully heal after removal of the natural teeth before placement of the new dentures. A patient is usually without teeth for a few months with this option. Immediate full dentures, however, are just what they sound like: immediately placed in the mouth after removal of the teeth. This prevents you from having to be without teeth for a period of time, but they do require resetting visits as your mouth begins to heal, and the jawbone starts to reshape. Similar to a dental bridge, partial dentures can also be considered an option. Dentures are a big step, and they take time to get used to. Eating and talking naturally will come over time. We are happy to help our patients adjust to life with their new dentures. And they may not be your real teeth, but they should be cared for in the exact same manner as you would with natural teeth by regularly brushing and flossing them. Please schedule an appointment with us today to determine if dentures are the right decision for ensuring a better quality of life for you! Contact Riverton Dental to discuss dentures and your oral health.

Our skilled hygienists will thoroughly clean your mouth, teeth, and gums, ensuring to make it a very pleasant experience for you.
